Throughout the years, Mike’s legendary skills in orchestrating seamless tournaments, overcoming weather challenges, and maintaining his competitive edge have solidified his status among iconic sports commissioners like David Stern, Larry O’Brien, and Pete Rozelle.
Nestled in the family homestead, a residence acquired by Mamadonough over a century ago, Mike continues to be the driving force behind this extraordinary event.


Bryan Cullen

The individual credited with pioneering the contemporary Home Run Derby has seamlessly transitioned into the role of Commissioner at The McDonough Open, marking a fitting evolution in his career. Bryan’s foresight and vision have left an indelible mark on the tournament, influencing its trajectory for generations. Notably, he proposed the innovative “Automatic 10-under” playoff rule, contributing to the event’s uniqueness.
Residing in Washington, D.C., Bryan shares his life with his wife Ellen and takes pride in being the father of four daughters: Bridget, Maggie, Kathleen, and Genevieve.

Meet Michael, the dedicated McDonough Open Commissioner who approaches his role with unparalleled seriousness, setting him apart as a standout figure in the golf tournament director community. Tasked with crafting teams, assigning holes, and overseeing the overall tournament direction, Michael has seamlessly embraced the responsibilities passed down by his father. His legendary Excel spreadsheets, meticulously detailing team configurations, annually undergo over fifty iterations, showcasing his commitment to excellence.
Michael lives in Dunmore with his beloved dog, Navy.
